On A3v biblical quotations (Luke 11:23; Matthew 12:30) "He that is not with me is against me". Similarly on A4r, "He that is not with me is against me not to dwell any longer upon this point". A different biblical quotation on A4v (John 1:40), "Andrew Simon Peters brother". And in the same hand on B3r, "Andrew Willet the Author hereof". Further unread annotations on B1r and B2r; 19th century pencil annotation on verso of front free endpaper, "A copy sold at Britwell [i.e. library of Britwell Court - see Praz] July 1924 for £230"; various booksellers' marks? in pencil on front pastedown, "F4 G5". And on the verso of the front free endpaper, "[?] 19/4/95" and "£12 rare" plus a further unread deleted pencil inscription at the head of the page. Rear free endpaper, "col. AD/BQ". |
